Camera and compatibility
Saki says camera access is off
Open iPhone or iPad Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and enable Saki. You can also use the Open Settings button shown in the app. The camera is required for AR gameplay.
Saki says AR is not supported
Saki needs an ARKit-capable iPhone or iPad with a rear camera. The app cannot run its AR game in the iOS Simulator, on Mac or on Apple Vision Pro compatibility mode.
The environment never becomes ready
Use a well-lit area and aim the camera at the ground and nearby objects with visible texture. Move the device slowly through a small arc so ARKit can establish the scene. Very dark, reflective or blank surfaces are harder to track.
Routes and AR tracking
The route shifted or the fireflies no longer line up
Keep the rear camera clear and point it back toward surfaces the device has already seen. Slower movement, steady lighting and textured surroundings improve tracking. If alignment becomes unsafe or unreliable, stop walking and begin a new route from a stable position.
I cannot start a level
Wait until the environment indicator is ready, then either record and finish a path or place at least one item. A level cannot start while path recording is still active or when there is nothing to collect.
The run ends too easily
Open Game & AR Settings in Build mode. Increase Warning and Death distance for more room, or choose Chill mode to finish without game over and focus on stability.
Photos and recordings
A capture will not save to Photos
Open system Settings for Saki and allow Photos access. Saki requests add-only access, so it can save the capture you choose without reading your library. You can still use Share to send a capture to another available destination.
Does previewing a capture stop the AR session?
No. The underlying AR session can continue while you review a photo or video, so your physical surroundings may keep changing. Move to a safe position before opening the preview and stay aware of anyone or anything passing through the area.
Where are unfinished captures kept?
Saki uses temporary on-device files for preview and sharing. Discarded or shared temporary captures are removed by the app, and the operating system may also clear temporary storage.
Play safely
Choose a clear route away from roads, stairs, ledges, water and fragile objects. AR content can drift or be temporarily inaccurate. Look up regularly, never rely on the virtual route to identify a safe surface, and stop moving whenever the physical space changes.
