Saki uses device sensors and local storage only to provide the AR game and the capture features you choose.
1. Who we are
Saki: Walk the Line (“Saki”, the “app”) is operated by Yumi Nexus (Wenxi Jiao), Auckland, New Zealand. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@yumi.nexus.
2. Camera and augmented reality
Saki uses the rear camera, device motion and Apple’s ARKit framework to understand nearby surfaces, track movement and place virtual route objects. On supported devices, ARKit may also provide depth, scene-reconstruction or people-occlusion information.
Camera frames, AR positioning and route geometry are processed for gameplay on your device. Saki does not upload them to Yumi Nexus or operate a server that receives them. The app requires camera permission because the AR game cannot function without a live view of your surroundings.
3. Photos and recordings
When you choose to take an AR photo or record gameplay, Saki creates a temporary copy on your device so you can preview it. A capture is added to Photos or shared with another app only after you choose Save or Share.
Saki requests add-only Photos access and does not read your photo library. Content you share with another app is then handled according to that app’s privacy practices.
4. Preferences and diagnostics
Saki stores gameplay and AR settings—such as warning distance, game rule and occlusion preferences—in local device storage. These settings are not sent to Yumi Nexus. Saki does not include advertising, third-party analytics or developer-operated crash-reporting SDKs.
5. Apple and other services
Saki relies on Apple platform services for app distribution, ARKit, device permissions, Photos and the system share sheet. Apple processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. If you share a capture, the destination you select may receive that file and related information according to its own policies.
6. Retention and your control
Temporary capture files are removed when they are discarded or after sharing, and the operating system may also clear temporary storage. Items saved to Photos remain under your control in the Photos app.
You can revoke Camera or Photos access at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings. Removing the app deletes its local settings and temporary app data. Because Saki does not operate accounts or collect personal data on a server, there is no server-side Saki profile to access or delete.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask how information is handled or raise a privacy complaint. Since Saki does not receive personal information from the app, we may have no app data that identifies you. Contact support@yumi.nexus if you have a question.
8. Children
Saki does not knowingly collect personal information from children. AR play involves movement in the physical world; younger players should use Saki only with a parent or guardian’s permission and appropriate supervision.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Saki, Apple platform features or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. Material changes will also be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method where reasonably practicable.
