At a glance
Yumi processes information to authenticate your account, respond to conversations and carry out actions you request through connected software or devices.
1. Who we are
Yumi Nexus (“Yumi”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Yumi Nexus (Wenxi Jiao), Auckland, New Zealand. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@yumi.nexus.
2. Scope
This policy covers the hosted services available at yumi.nexus, including the website, shared Yumi account features, assistant conversations, connection codes and Yumi Edge experiences we operate. Temi and Memori have product-specific policies for information processed inside those apps. A self-hosted copy of the open-source Yumi Agent is controlled by the person or organisation operating that copy, not by this hosted-service policy.
3. Information we collect
| Category | What it includes | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, user identifier, display name, profile photo and sign-in provider | Authentication, account security and a consistent identity across Yumi products |
| Conversations | Messages, assistant replies, selected context and requested actions | Respond to you, maintain conversation context and provide assistant features |
| Connected experiences | Connection codes, linked channel identifiers, available tools, device state and tool results | Route your requests and operate the software or devices you authorise |
| Usage and entitlement | Plan status, quota, turn counts and service events | Display and enforce usage limits, subscriptions and abuse safeguards |
| Technical information | IP address, timestamps, browser details, error logs and security events | Deliver, secure, diagnose and improve the service |
Browser preferences such as your selected language may be stored on your device. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site advertising trackers.
4. How we use information
- Authenticate your account and keep Yumi experiences connected across supported products.
- Generate assistant replies and carry out the actions you request.
- Maintain conversation context across authorised channels where that feature is enabled.
- Operate connection codes, quotas, subscriptions, abuse prevention and account controls.
- Protect users, investigate failures and respond to support or privacy requests.
We do not sell or rent personal information and do not use it to build a cross-app advertising profile.
5. Connected apps, devices and messaging services
Yumi acts only through services and devices you choose to connect. When you use a connection code or authorise a tool, Yumi may receive the capabilities, state and results that the connected service exposes. Commands and results may be retained with the conversation so you can understand what happened.
If you continue a conversation through Telegram, Discord, LINE or another third-party service, that provider also processes messages and account identifiers under its own privacy terms. Resetting a Yumi connection code invalidates the old code but does not delete information already held by the third-party provider.
6. Storage, disclosure and service providers
We use service providers to operate authentication, cloud storage, hosting, AI processing and optional messaging connections. Information is disclosed only as needed for those services, where required by law, or with your direction.
| Provider category | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Authentication and account profile storage | Account, profile and authentication information |
| Cloud hosting and AI providers | Run the hosted service and generate requested assistant results | Conversation input, relevant context and technical logs |
| Telegram, Discord or LINE | Optional messaging-channel delivery | Channel identifiers, messages and delivery metadata when connected |
Providers and processing locations may change as the service evolves. When information is processed outside New Zealand, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the information and service.
7. Retention, reset and deletion
Account information and saved conversation context remain while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Security and operational records may be kept for a limited period. You can reset a connection code from your Yumi account to prevent future use of the old code.
To request access, correction or deletion, email support@yumi.nexus from your account address. Where account deletion is available inside a Yumi app, you may also use that in-app flow. A shared Yumi account deletion affects access across connected Yumi products. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to limited records we may need to retain for security, legal, transaction or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, scoped connection tokens and the ability to revoke connection codes. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep account credentials and connection codes private and contact us promptly if you believe either has been exposed.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask how it has been used or disclosed, or raise a privacy complaint. Contact support@yumi.nexus. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Children
Yumi’s hosted services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Yumi, our providers or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will appear here. Material changes will also be communicated through the service or by another appropriate method.
